Records for pike and pearch for English members in
the Lure Fishing Association

English members in the Lure fishing Association has broken record after record both in numbers and size for the species perch and pike, during visits to Lapland. Andy Horwood caught this gigantic perch (1.5 kg) in the lake Mörtträsket, while he visited the campiong Kattisavan. He also broke his statistcs in number of fish taken. In the camp Lugnet he caught 44 pike in one day. Totally for the whole week he and his friend Richard caught 146 pike and 118 perch, and this was in very tough conditions with very cold weather and slow fish.

Another member of the Lure Fishing Association, Stephen Makin caught one of his biggest pike ever (10 kg), a couple of weeks later, in the river Rickleån, visiting camp Lugnet. We are looking forward to meet more members in this assosiation next year. One thing is for sure, not many local anglers can compete in fishing skills compared to those great English sportfishermen.
