The Czech Republic won EFFC 2004
No one was surprised that the Czech Republic won the European Championchips 2004, even if the conditions were plain terrible, with a rain that could scare the bravest away from the fast increasing rivers.
Even though the terrible weather, a lot of fish were caught . The river Vojmån, downstreams Bergsjön, was the best beat while the river marsån was very tough in most beats. Some fishermen caught more than 20 fish (often grayling) during a 3-hour session. But due to tough conditions many fishermen was also totally out of luck on the beat. According to many fishermen, the lake Stensjön presented very good lake fishing.

If the water was high during Saturday, Sunday presented the competitors with a catastrophic scenario. The intense rainfall led to fast raising rivers including Marsån and Vojmån, and the competition sectors were flooded. During daytime the rivers got up to 50 cm higher than earlier in the morning. The Swedish 4th place, just beaten by the English team, were the best ever for a Swedish team. Daniel Holmqvist was on second place but wen´t further down the list when de didn´t succeed on the last session.
