Results of Via Baltica Pike trophy
During the period August 13-15 the competition Via Baltica Pike Trophy was held. This competition was arranged as a cooperation between the two EU-funded projects Via Baltica Nordica Development Zone (the main contributor) and Project Lapland Fishing. During this period guests from Finland, Russia and Lathvia had the opportunity to try fishing in the region. On saturday the competition started and the first session were tough until after lunch when the comeptitors noticed that the perch was hunting in the middle of the lake. This led to a rapid movement from the vegetation by the bank into the midpart of the lake, and now things started to happen. Two pike on 91 cm was caught and a couple just under 90 cm.
